About Stephanie
I discovered my love for Pilates in early 2000 while studying for my Bachelor of Arts in Communications at Quinnipiac University. I was an athlete all my life, but Pilates was the only method that really focused on quality of movement and gave me the strength and stability I needed. I became a certified instructor in 2008 by completing a rigorous 600+ hour apprenticeship at Power Pilates Studio in New York City, under the leadership of Bob Liekens and Susan Moran-Perich. In 2010 I began working at Bridge Pilates in Brooklyn, New York and I had the very unique and special opportunity to work and learn under Blossom Leilani Crawford for 10 years. I would credit Blossom with teaching me the ability to critically look at each body and to think outside the box to create tailored workouts.
My approach as a teacher is to customize each Pilates session to focus on my client’s individual needs and goals. With all of my clients, I stress awareness of your body while building strength, flexibility, creating balance, and discovering how the method integrates into your everyday life.
I am forever curious and I continue to take classes and workshops to further my knowledge and to enhance my teaching. After almost 20 years of practicing, I am still able to find new ways to benefit from Pilates. I love to share this gift with my students. I teach privates, groups and corporate workshops.
